Dream/ Real
I got out of the trailer and herd the loud, sweet and pre-mix bikes revving as I walked to my tent were my bikes were sitting. There were nice and some were getting worked on. I started to get dressed as I saw my buddies. They came over and said hey, I was too busy to talk so I just said hi. They left as I got on my practice bike. I heard the P.A ***** All riders in the 125class please go to the Starting gate. So I got my bike and I pushed it over to the starting gate.
Then I started my Dirt bike, I could feel the excitement in me and the Dirt bike. Everyone else started there Dirt Bikes and they started to warm up.
The #30 sign went up as everyone was ready with their heads down looking at the gate, and then the #5 number went up. Everyone was hitting the reve limit, sounding like six thousand Killer bees. Then the gate dropped as I let go of the clutch and the bike went off!
40 Racers going down the strait away while I was leading the pack. We went into the First corner; I quickly went in and out of the burm. As we hit the jumps, we were getting major air, like 25 feet to 30 feet in the air! It was quite fun as we raced around. There was now 35 out of 40 people on the track because 5 other people crashed, they probably broke their bike or got hurt.
While the race was going on I saw the White flag before I passed the finish line it was the final lap! So I Gunned the Dirt Bike and it Zoomed past the woops and through the jumps, when I came around to the finish gunned the bike and jumped and did a scrub and landed.
I went to the podium and stood at 1st while my buddies stayed at 2nd and 3rd, the official came over and said that’s an awesome race boys Damon you win the AMA Monster Energy SuperCross!
Well I was filled with joy! And I knew I was going far, something was not right… I think this is a dream, so I pinched myself and I woke up in my trailer! I looked outside and saw….. The AMA Monster Energy SuperCross!!! It was time!
